MicroLub is developing next-generation protein technologies that help food manufacturers reduce fat and oil while retaining the texture, functionality and sensory experience consumers expect.
We are now looking for a hands-on B2B Marketing Manager to help build the MicroLub brand, engage priority commercial audiences and turn marketing activity into meaningful customer conversations and opportunities.
This is an opportunity to join an ambitious, science-led business at an important stage in its growth. Working closely with our Fractional Marketing Director, leadership, technical and commercial teams, you will take ownership of activating the marketing strategy across brand, demand generation, CRM, content, digital channels, PR and industry events.
This is not solely a marketing coordination or communications-support role. We need someone who has personally owned campaigns and can take activity from audience insight and planning through to delivery, measurement and improvement.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Own and deliver integrated B2B marketing campaigns that build awareness, create demand and support the commercial pipeline.
- Develop the MicroLub brand with priority audiences, particularly SMEs seeking to commercialise new food products within the next 12-18 months.
- Build and develop the CRM and marketing database, including segmentation, lead capture, campaign tracking and nurture activity.
- Work with commercial colleagues to ensure marketing-generated engagement is followed up and converted into meaningful customer conversations.
- Make LinkedIn an effective always-on brand-building and audience-engagement channel.
- Translate complex scientific and technical propositions into clear, persuasive customer stories, thought leadership, case studies, presentations, brochures and digital content.
- Plan product and application marketing that communicates the commercial value of MicroLub’s technology.
- Develop PR, earned-media and thought-leadership opportunities that strengthen credibility and visibility.
- Plan and deliver trade shows and industry events as customer-acquisition opportunities, including pre-event targeting, lead capture and post-event nurture.
- Manage external agencies, freelancers and suppliers where appropriate.
- Monitor campaign performance, engagement, leads and commercial outcomes, using insight to improve future activity.
What we’re looking for
- Approximately four to six years’ relevant marketing experience, or equivalent evidence that you can operate successfully at this level.
- Meaningful B2B marketing experience, ideally within a technical, scientific, food, ingredients, manufacturing or innovation-led environment.
- Clear evidence of personally owning marketing activity—not solely assisting with or coordinating activity led by others.
- Practical experience in at least two of the following areas:
- B2B brand building
- Demand generation or lead generation
- CRM, database segmentation or lead nurture
- Product or content marketing
- LinkedIn or digital campaign management
- Experience taking campaigns from planning through delivery to performance measurement.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex subjects relevant and compelling.
- A commercially minded approach and an understanding of how marketing supports customer acquisition and pipeline development.
- Confidence working with senior, commercial and technical stakeholders.
- The initiative and adaptability to succeed in a growing, entrepreneurial business.
Experience of food technology, ingredients, life sciences, biotechnology or another technical B2B market would be valuable, but it is not essential if you can demonstrate an ability to understand and communicate complex propositions.
You will have the opportunity to shape how an innovative, science-led business builds its brand and takes its technology to market. The role offers genuine ownership, exposure to senior decision-makers and the chance to see your work directly influence customer engagement and commercial growth.
