Capture Management Director – Major Pursuits

Overview

As Capture Director, you will lead enterprise critical pursuits, shaping winning capture and client positioning strategies. You’ll collaborate with global and regional leaders to drive growth aligned with AECOM’s priorities, and guide integrated efforts to boost win rates on transformative programs. You’ll analyze competitive landscapes and apply lessons from wins and losses to refine approaches. You’ll coach regional capture teams, align cross-functional partners, and ensure disciplined pursuit execution across the lifecycle, delivering value for clients and the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise critical pursuits (ECP / Tier 2) with clear, compelling capture strategies
• Collaborate with global and regional leaders to develop and execute growth plans
• Drive integrated strategies to improve capture and win rates for transformative programs
• Analyze competitive landscapes and apply insights from wins/losses to refine strategies
• Oversee capture plans across complex proposals with cross-functional teams (bid, marketing, technical, operations, commercial)
• Build and maintain a diversified pipeline aligned with business goals and use data-driven insights to prioritize activities
• Establish and nurture client relationships, delivering tailored solutions and identifying needs
• Position AECOM’s ESG, digitalisation, and equity initiatives to support client transformation agendas
• Facilitate training and coach regional capture teams; promote collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
• Coordinate with strategic marketing to plan pursuit-based positioning campaigns and ensure governance and compliance across opportunities

Key requirements

• Experience in critical pursuit capture strategy development aligned with growth targets
• Proven track record leading strategic and complex pursuit initiatives across multi-disciplinary, multi-location teams
• Strong leadership with ability to manage large, diverse capture teams and collaborate at all organizational levels
• Expert communicator with experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement
• Sales/BD experience with metrics, development of value propositions, and client discovery
