Consulting Manager

Overview

In this role you lead engineering practices across teams to improve code review, builds, releases, and retrospective effectiveness. You empower teams to automate scalable deployments in test and production environments, and you drive software maturity through cross-team collaboration. You apply industry standards to tackle complex problems and mentor engineers toward growth and higher productivity. You shape the technical direction while partnering with leadership to deliver enterprise-grade assets and robust CI/CD workflows. Responsibilities

• Establish and own engineering practices across teams (code review, build, release, retrospectives).
• Empower teams to automate demand-driven, scalable deployments in test/production environments.
• Collaborate with leadership to define solutions and drive technical maturity and practices.
• Mentor and lead software engineering teams, including contractors; foster servant leadership.
• Promote continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics.
• Take accountability for the team’s technical maturity and career development of indirect reports.
• Hire top engineering talent and contribute to team growth.

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience.
• 5+ years of active software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a complex technical environment.
• Experience designing, creating, and deploying enterprise-grade technology assets and cross-platform integrations in an Agile environment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), iterations, and user stories.
• Hands-on experience with automation testing and documentation (automated, functional, and performance).
• Strong programming, testing, and application design skills for microservices using Java 17+ or Kotlin, with Spring and Gradle.
