Senior Estimator – Civil Engineering (First Principles)

WORK FROM HOME – 1 day in the office every 2 weeks

Salary circa £80,000 – £90,000 + package (depending on experience)

Civil Engineering projects

Senior Estimator required from a Civil Engineering background by a very reputable and well recognised civil engineering contracting business.

Working in a small but experienced team you will be responsible for the accurate pricing of tenders valued from £1m – £20m.

Typical Duties:

• First principles pricing of projects
• Take offs, measurement and rates build up
• BOQ measurement
• Spotting risk and reward opportunities
• Attending tender adjudication meetings with Directors
• Attending prestart meetings at project stage
• Client and subcontractor communication when required

Home working predominantly – office once every 2 weeks or for project adjudications

• Overseeing and managing tenders and bids workload individually and sometimes with the team
• Pricing tenders valued between £1m – £20m typically
• Dealing with a very established Blue Chip client base
• Reporting to the business shareholders
• Working for a very well-established business, a well known contracting business

Covering civil engineering including but not limited to:

• Roads
• Structures
• Infrastructure Projects
• Public Realm project
• Earthworks
• Bridges, Canals and Environmental projects

Candidate Requirements

• Solid experience within the Civil Engineering sector
• First Principles Estimating
• Strong communication and relationship building skills and experience
