Nightshift Parcel Sorters – Mallusk, Newtownabbey

Ashton Recruitment is recruiting a number of Nightshift Parcel Sorters for our client based in Mallusk, Newtownabbey.

Position: Nightshift Parcel SorterLocation: Mallusk, NewtownabbeyHourly rate: £13.00 per hourDuration: Temporary, with potential permanent opportunities depending on performanceWorking hours: Monday, 12 midnight-8:30am and Tuesday to Friday, 12:30am-9:00am

Duties will include:

• Loading and unloading lorries
• Carrying out heavy, repetitive lifting using safe handling techniques
• Sorting parcels by postcode and placing them in the correct cages
• Handling parcels carefully to prevent damage
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and safe
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Essential criteria:

• Ability to carry out the physical duties of the role, including heavy, repetitive lifting
• Ability to sort parcels accurately by postcode
• Availability to work the nightshift hours outlined above
• Reliable timekeeping and attendance
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Own transport or a reliable means of travelling to and from work without relying on public transport, due to the location and shift times
