Contextual Overview

Kingsley Napley is seeking an In-House Legal Associate (2-5 PQE) to support the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) in delivering the firm’s legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations across London, United Kingdom.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• 2-5 years’ PQE or equivalent experience.
• Comparable or fee earner experience within commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, data protection, or intellectual property.
• Additional compliance or regulatory qualifications (e.g., ICA) are advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of legal risks across firm operations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) rules and the SRA Code of Conduct.
• Assist the CLO in overseeing data protection compliance under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Review, negotiate, and draft contracts for services and goods procured by the firm, including IT systems, software, facilities, and outsourced services.
