JobDescription
As part of our Group LegalDepartment, you will play a key role in supporting the litigationfunction by proactively managing a high-volume and fast-movingcaseload of customer legal claims, with a particular focus onclaims arising from Claims Management Companies(CMCs).
Working closely with the Head ofLitigation, Legal Counsel and an Apprentice Solicitor, you willmanage day-to-day case administration, ensure compliance with courtdeadlines and procedural requirements, prepare case documentationand support the team’s strategic approach to claimshandling.
The role will also providelitigation and enforcement support to the Group’s Recoveriesfunction, assisting with matters relating to possessionproceedings, receivership appointments, bankruptcy proceedings,security enforcement and recovery actions alongside our externallegal panel.
This is an excellentopportunity for an experienced litigation paralegal who is highlyorganised, detail-oriented and motivated to broaden their expertisewithin an in-house legal team operating in a fast-paced financialservicesenvironment.
Qualifications
Pleaseapply if you have a good blend of the following skills andexperience:
- LLB graduate or suitableparalegalqualification
- Significantexperience working as a litigation paralegal, legal executive orlitigation filehandler.
- Strong workingknowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules(CPR).
- Experience managing asubstantial caseload of litigatedmatters.
- Experience preparingcourt documents, bundles and casesummaries.
- Experience workingwithin a regulated environment, preferably financialservices.
- Strong drafting andwritten communicationskills.
- Ability to analyse complexinformation and present findings clearly andconcisely.
- Confident workingwith case management systems and Microsoft Officeapplications.
- Strong stakeholdermanagement and communicationskills.
- Experience dealing withCMC-driven claims or high-volumelitigation.
