Parkside Hospital are seeking an experienced Senior Endoscopy Nurse/ Theatre Practitioner to join our dynamic team. You will be a registered with either the NMC or HCPC and you will have extensive previous experience in an endoscopy theatre setting. With a strong knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols you will work closely with consultants as well as the wider clinical teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care for our patients. Working knowledge of JAG and Endoscopy Decontamination are essential
As a Senior Endoscopy Nurse/Theatre Practitioner you will:
- Work with the Theatre manager and Endoscopy Lead to enhance the endoscopy service
- Have confident knowledge of Endoscopy JAG standards
- Have expert knowledge of endoscopic procedures including OGD, Colonoscopy and therapeutic procedures such as Upper GI Dilatation, Banding and Botox injections
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of endoscopic procedures
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control standards
- Have a good understanding of endoscope decontamination processes and compliance with JAG and IHEEM requirements, ensuring high standards of patient safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance
- Provide clinical support and guidance to patients throughout their journey
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies
