Pre-constuction Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead a pipeline of planned maintenance and asset-improvement projects from enquiry to mobilisation, coordinating with clients and internal teams to scope, price, and hand over opportunities for delivery. You’ll drive pre-construction, bid, and mobilisation phases, shaping delivery strategies and risk management. This position offers growth within a leading social housing and property services provider, with exposure to large-scale projects and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of opportunities from enquiry through to contract award
• Develop project scopes, methodologies and delivery plans
• Coordinate input from commercial, estimating and operations during bids
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to capture requirements
• Support tenders, negotiations and presentations
• Identify risks, opportunities and value-engineering solutions
• Produce mobilisation plans and ensure smooth handover to operations
• Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting

Key requirements

• Experience in a Pre-Construction Manager, Bid Manager, Project Manager or similar role in construction, social housing or property services
• Strong understanding of planned maintenance, refurbishment and capital works projects
• Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders through pre-construction
• Commercial awareness with ability to review scopes, programmes and risks
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Experience in social housing planned maintenance, asset investment programmes, decarbonisation works or major refurbishment projects would be advantageous
