Overview

In this role you will contribute to delivering the UK’s transport and infrastructure projects, focusing on structural challenges from feasibility through detailed design. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, sustainable engineering solutions that improve safety, resilience, and value for communities. You’ll influence project decisions and help shape infrastructure that supports people and places. Responsibilities

• Deliver bridge and structural engineering projects from feasibility to delivery
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical solutions
• Provide technical insight to improve design, safety, and sustainability
• Assist clients in decision-making and value optimization
• Contribute across projects for major clients like High Speed 2, National Highways and Network Rail

Key requirements

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related discipline
• Experience delivering bridge or structural engineering projects in consultancy, contractor, local authority or infrastructure environments
• Strong structural analysis and engineering design capabilities
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
• Motivation to progress toward Chartered Engineer status
