Debit Controller

Overview

In this role you support FirstPort’s mission as the UK’s leading residential property manager by proactively chasing arrears and providing first-class service. You will collaborate across teams to resolve debt issues, maintain SLAs, and handle multiple systems to drive timely settlements. The position offers hybrid work with strong emphasis on customer-centric debt recovery and continuous service improvement. Responsibilities

• Credit control in line with Debt Collection procedures for England & Wales properties
• Responding to solicitor queries and providing documents to aid arrears recovery
• Recovering Housing Association and landlord/developer voids debt
• Collaborating with internal departments to remove obstacles to settlement
• Ensuring customer communications meet service level agreements
• General administration tasks related to debt control and action tracking

Key requirements

• Collaborative team player with ownership; able to see issues through to resolution
• Passion for improving service levels and supporting change
• Fully IT literate; proficient with MS Office and multiple systems
• Experience in debt collection or credit control (implied)
• Excellent communication across internal teams and external solicitors
• Ability to manage inquiries and maintain timely responses
