Overview

As Senior QEHS Manager at Arla’s Lockerbie site, you will set the strategic direction for quality, safety, and environmental excellence across a major transformation, including the new UHT centre alongside cheddar, whey, and fresh milk operations. You will lead a QEHS team, embedding standards and owning culture across the site to deliver compliant, high-quality manufacturing. You will influence governance, risk management and continuous improvement with cross-functional partners. This is a chance to shape a large-scale dairy facility and its long-term way of working.

Responsibilities

• Shape and embed QEHS standards across current operations and new investment
• Lead and develop the QEHS team, building capability and ownership of quality, safety and environment
• Drive integration of the new UHT operation with existing manufacturing while ensuring compliance
• Set strategic direction for QEHS with governance across audits, HACCP, health & safety, environmental management, laboratories, crisis readiness and risk
• Champion continuous improvement and sustainability using data and digital tools to reduce risk and improve performance

Key requirements

• Senior leader with technical, QEHS or operational background in FMCG or complex manufacturing
• Proven leadership experience and ability to develop high-performing teams
• Broad QEHS expertise across quality, food safety, health & safety and environmental management
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills with credibility at all levels
• Strategic yet pragmatic mindset with resilience to lead through change and transformation
• Commitment to coaching, capability development and a culture beyond compliance
