Deputy Director of Internal Audit

Overview

In this role you will lead risk-based and control-focused internal audits within a university setting. You will work with the Internal Audit Service to support the University’s strategic direction by assessing systems, governance, risk management and value for money. You will manage the tracking and implementation of management actions and may contribute to ad hoc investigations. The position offers exposure to international campuses and flexible working arrangements. This is a permanent, full-time role with opportunities for part-time or job-share arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and review internal audits across systems, processes and controls
• Assess governance, risk management and value for money aspects
• Track and monitor implementation of management actions
• Assist on ad hoc investigations as needed

Key requirements

• CCAB qualified or equivalent
• professional services experience (internal audit, external audit or advisory)
• higher education internal audit experience is desirable but not required
