Building Safety Manager

Overview

In this role you will contribute to the safety of residents by delivering building safety compliance across a large portfolio of high-rise residential buildings. You will work with surveyors, contractors, property teams and residents to implement safety requirements and promote a strong safety culture. The position offers a clear path to senior building safety leadership and hands-on experience with modern safety practices and regulatory governance. You will make a tangible impact on resident safety and organizational compliance within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Support building safety compliance across a portfolio of high-rise and higher-risk buildings
• Undertake and review fire risk assessments, inspections and building safety audits
• Assist in developing and maintaining Building Safety Cases and Golden Thread information
• Monitor compliance with fire safety and building safety legislation
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants and contractors to ensure obligations are met
• Support resident engagement initiatives and promote a positive building safety culture
• Monitor and track actions arising from assessments and audits
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the Building Safety service

Key requirements

• Experience in Fire Safety, Building Safety, Compliance, Housing, Property Management or related discipline
• CIOB Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety Management (completed or in progress) or similar qualification
• Level 3 or above Fire Risk Assessment qualification
• Strong understanding of current fire safety legislation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive approach and genuine enthusiasm for Building Safety
