Management Accountant

Overview

In this role you will own the month-end process within a growing finance team and support critical commercial decision-making. You will partner with operational and project teams to monitor costs, margins, and profitability, while handling end-to-end reporting and balance sheet controls. You will drive continuous improvements in finance processes and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis. Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and commentary
• Own month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and control account reviews
• Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
• Business partnering with operational and project teams
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
• Monitor project costs, margins and profitability
• Support audit processes and statutory reporting
• Identify and implement finance process improvements
• Take ownership of end-to-end Accounts Payable during initial months

Key requirements

• Part-qualified, finalist, or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
• Experience in property/real estate/construction/infrastructure or similar project-based environment
• Strong management accounting experience
• Experience managing or supporting end-to-end Accounts Payable
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills and handling large datasets
• Ability to communicate financial information to finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Proactive, commercially minded and able to work independently
• Track record of longevity and commitment
• Immediately available or available at short notice
