Pavement Manager

Overview

In this role you drive pavement engineering within the North West unit, leading a team to plan and deliver Structural Maintenance schemes. You collaborate with Transport Scotland to develop reports and solutions, ensuring timely approvals and program milestones. You’ll balance technical design with delivery constraints, shaping maintenance across a diverse Scottish landscape. Responsibilities

• Lead the pavement team to meet scheme delivery deadlines
• Coordinate delivery of technical reports/studies to Transport Scotland
• Liaise with Transport Scotland in technical workshops to address scheme challenges
• Prioritise workload to achieve programme dates

Key requirements

• Relevant Civil Engineering degree
• Professionally qualified or working towards IEng/CEng
• Knowledge of current design standards
• Working knowledge of contract control and management systems
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Ability to produce innovative engineering solutions
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
