Overview
In this role you will advance next‑generation imaging technology within a collaborative, inventor-driven team. You’ll work at the front end of R&D, turning novel ideas into prototype experiments and test rigs, with the goal of preparing products for launch. You will be mentored as you transition from academia to industry and contribute to a culture that pushes technological boundaries. This position offers exposure to cross‑functional problems from image processing to hardware design, with meaningful impact on medical device imaging.

Responsibilities
- Conduct imaging research across segmentation hardware, signal processing, transducer design and optical systems development
- Build and test prototypes, experiments, and test rigs to validate concepts
- Contribute to the development lifecycle from concept to pre‑launch readiness
- Collaborate with an experienced team of inventors to explore brand new ideas
- Support integration of imaging technologies into hardware and systems for eventual product deployment
- Engage in mentoring and knowledge transfer within the team
Key requirements
- PhD or post‑doc focus on imaging and optical technology
- strong physics foundation
