HVAC Project engineer

Overview

In this role you will drive HVAC deliverables for offshore and energy-sector projects, guiding engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning. You will work within a projects team to ensure technical quality, safety and schedule alignment across disciplines. You will engage with clients, suppliers and stakeholders to resolve issues and support successful handover. Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage HVAC deliverables (work packs, datasheets, calculations, drawings and reports)
• Ensure designs meet industry standards and project requirements
• Lead design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP studies and constructability assessments
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering (mechanical, electrical, structural, process) for project delivery
• Manage HVAC activities through engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning
• Review and approve vendor documentation and equipment packages
• Monitor supplier/contractor performance to meet quality, cost and schedule goals
• Provide technical support during offshore fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning
• Prepare requisitions and support bid evaluations for HVAC systems
• Develop client/supplier relationships to resolve technical issues
• Conduct offshore HVAC surveys and produce technical reports
• Chair project meetings and report progress to stakeholders
• Ensure activities comply with HSE requirements and best practices
• Support system walkdowns, punch lists and final handover

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with HVAC systems in offshore oil & gas, energy, marine or related industries
• HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline
• Experience managing and delivering HVAC project scopes
• Strong understanding of offshore HVAC systems and equipment
• Experience reviewing engineering documentation and coordinating multidisciplinary projects
• Valid offshore certification (BOSIET, MIST, Offshore Medical)
