Senior Solar Solutions Manager

Overview

Senior Solar Solutions Manager role to oversee Solar PV and Battery Storage projects from surveys to handover, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance. You will work closely with the Technical Director to drive project delivery and growth of the Solar division. The position combines design oversight, client liaison, and efficient project execution in a growing renewable energy business. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced electrical professional seeking to move beyond fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate Solar PV and Battery Storage installations
• Review surveys, designs and quotations
• Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and materials
• Monitor project costs, programmes and profitability
• Ensure projects meet MCS, BS 7671 and company standards
• Manage DNO applications and project handovers
• Liaise with clients and attend site meetings
• Support the continued growth of the Solar division

Key requirements

• Experience in Solar PV, Battery Storage or electrical project delivery
• 5+ years’ experience in solar stringing system design
• Strong electrical contracting background
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
• Confident managing multiple projects and stakeholders
• Full UK driving licence
• MCS knowledge desirable
• SolarEdge, PV Sol or Reonic experience desirable
