Overview

As Director of Solution Architecture & Technology Consulting in London, you drive large-scale digital solutions and shape EPAM’s Architecture Practice. You’ll partner with senior technical leaders to align architecture with business goals, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and steer strategic advisory engagements from pre-sales to delivery. This role combines hands-on technology leadership with client-facing governance and thought leadership, across financial services sector clients and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture implementations from requirements to go-live across multiple sectors
• Shape business and technology strategy with UK leadership to expand client footprint
• Demonstrate hands-on credibility with engineering teams and CxO-level stakeholders
• Direct technology consulting in sales/pre-sales, delivering architecture proposals and proofs-of-concept
• Provide architectural consulting: reviews, roadmaps, governance across projects
• Develop and present technology business cases for architecture, strategy and IT organizational change
• Lead and mentor Solution Architects and Technology Consultants
• Act as liaison between delivery managers, product managers and development teams
• Represent EPAM at conferences to enhance visibility and thought leadership

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or strong relevant work experience
• Senior/proven leadership in architecture or technology consulting in a large consulting firm
• Hands-on architectural experience with software development (Java, .Net) and platform delivery
• Industry experience in Banking/Financial Services or Insurance
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and deliver large-scale transformation projects
• Strong client-facing and pre-sales capability with advisory skills
• Knowledge of architecture governance, security, scalability, resiliency, and high-performance systems
