Overview

As Managing Director in Structured Corporate Credit, you will drive the growth of a global private credit platform within GSAM. You’ll work on sourcing, structuring, and monitoring investments across diverse capital structures, collaborating with cross-functional teams and steering risk-aware decision-making. Your leadership will shape the development of new investment opportunities and support portfolio management and investor communications. This role offers wide exposure to varied transactions and a highly entrepreneurial, meritocratic culture that values client focus and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Originating investment opportunities across the Structured Corporate Credit product suite
• Leading due diligence, business analysis and structuring to develop investment theses
• Driving structuring, negotiation and documentation of investments
• Defending investment theses to internal stakeholders and committees
• Monitoring existing portfolio investments
• Participating in internal fund management and investor communications
• Contributing to platform expansion and potential new investment strategies

Key requirements

• 10-15 years of investment banking, private credit or infrastructure experience
• Strong quantitative, financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear investment judgement and passion for credit and structured products
