Underwriting Review Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the Underwriting Review division for a global insurer, ensuring underwriting controls are robust and effective. You will coordinate across the organisation, reporting outcomes to the Underwriting and Risk Committees and department heads. You will manage the review function and drive performance through a小team, coaching colleagues and participating in recruitment. This position emphasizes senior stakeholder management, governance, and control assurance to support risk and policy objectives. You will operate in a governance-focused environment that shapes underwriting discipline and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Underwriting Review function across the organisation
• Maintain and improve underwriting controls
• Communicate results to the Underwriting Committee, Risk Committee, and heads of departments
• Manage and develop the review team
• Monitor workloads and ensure deadlines are met
• Coach and mentor junior team members
• Participate in recruitment for the team
