People Operations Specialist (HR Advisor)

Overview

As a People Operations Specialist, you will be the on-site HR partner for the distribution centre, guiding leaders and colleagues on people-related matters. You will support the full employee lifecycle, foster a safe, inclusive, and high-performing culture, and drive local HR processes and compliance. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and central HR to deliver key people initiatives and metrics. This role combines hands-on HR delivery with strategic advisement to improve site performance and employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact on site and resolve day-to-day queries with support from relevant functions
• Coach and advise senior leaders on HR topics across the employee lifecycle
• Manage employee relations cases and apply policy and local employment law
• Conduct disciplinary actions per policy and escalate when needed
• Support recruitment with central Talent Acquisition and lead HR projects with international teams
• Implement local HR processes (performance reviews, training, succession planning), develop site policies, and monitor absenteeism, turnover, engagement, and headcount

Key requirements

• CIPD Level 5
• operational HR experience in production/logistics
• strong organisation and attention to detail
• conflict resolution and stakeholder management
• knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment law; experience with HRIS
• excellent written and verbal communication; ability to build relationships at all levels
• data-driven problem solving to improve site performance
• maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgement
• empathy, hands-on mindset, innovative thinking, customer focus; align with HelloFresh DNA
• proficiency in Microsoft Office; GSuite preferred; Workday advantageous
