Extensive management experience in operations, ideally gained within power generation, energy from waste or a similar industrial environment.
Experience leading operational teams and taking responsibility for site performance.
Strong knowledge of plant operations and maintenance, including steam boilers, steam turbines, generators and associated equipment.
Experience managing health, safety, environmental and quality systems in a regulated environment.
Knowledge of operating procedures, permit systems and maintenance management systems.
Experience managing budgets, performance targets and improvement initiatives.
An engineering qualification relevant to the power or waste industry, or equivalent experience.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with teams and stakeholders.
Experience of gasification would be advantageous. Qualifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA or BOAS, and high-voltage authorised person experience, would also be beneficial.
