We are working with a leading hedge fund looking to add an experienced FX Portfolio Manager to its team based in London or Dubai.
The opportunity is open to established Portfolio Managers and Sub-PMs, as well as high-performing sell-side traders who can demonstrate the characteristics required to transition successfully to the buy side.
Candidates should have a strong background across global currencies, with expertise in directional, relative-value or volatility-driven strategies. They will need to demonstrate a clearly defined investment process, strong commercial judgement and the ability to take ownership of risk within an independent portfolio.
The profile
- Established Portfolio Manager, Sub-PM or top-performing sell-side FX trader
- Strong understanding of global currency markets and the key drivers of FX returns
- Demonstrable risk-taking experience and attributable performance
- Ability to develop independent trade ideas rather than relying solely on client flow
- Clear understanding of portfolio construction, position sizing and drawdown management
- Disciplined and repeatable investment process
- Strong judgement around market timing, catalysts and risk-reward
- Ability to communicate how their strategy could translate into a scalable buy-side portfolio
