Information Security SpecialistYour new companyYou will join an established organisation that is continuing to strengthen its information security and governance capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business where information security, risk management and compliance are important new roleAs Information Security Specialist, you will support the organisation’s Information Security Management System (ISMS), information security governance and compliance activities, including ISO 27001. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting information security risk assessments
- Supporting security audits, compliance and risk management
- Monitoring security alerts, threats and vulnerabilities
- Supporting incident investigation and response
- Coordinating vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Reviewing security requirements for new systems and projects
- Supporting third-party and supplier security assessments
- Developing security awareness initiatives and training
- Monitoring controls across endpoint security, firewalls, encryption, identity management and MFA
- Producing security metrics, reports and dashboards
You will work across IT, business teams and third-party suppliers, helping to continually improve the organisation’s overall security posture. What you’ll need to succeedIdeally, you will have:
- 3+ years’ experience in information security, cybersecurity, IT risk or compliance
- A relevant degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT or similar
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 and/or NIS2
- Experience with security audits, risk assessments and compliance
- Knowledge of Identity & Access Management, Security Monitoring, Endpoint Security, Vulnerability Management, Network Security and Incident Response
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to communicate technical security concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders
