Salaried GP Vita Healthcare East Sussex

Vita Healthcare, a GP partnership delivering NHS primary care across East Sussex, is recruiting salaried GPs for its clinical team, serving around 55,000 patients. The work covers face-to-face and telephone consultations, same-day and urgent clinics, duty doctor sessions and home visits where clinically suitable. Clinicians triage through a total triage model, with support available for those less confident in it, and work alongside nurses, ACPs, pharmacists and paramedics. Fit depends on GMC registration with a licence to practise and a place on the NHS England Performers List.

What the job involves

• Routine face-to-face and telephone consultations
• Same-day and urgent care clinics
• Clinical triage using the total triage model
• Duty doctor sessions
• Home visits where clinically appropriate
• Reviewing pathology, correspondence and clinical results
• Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, ACPs, pharmacists, paramedics and other allied health professionals
• Supporting safe and effective clinical decision-making across the practice
• Taking part in clinical meetings and quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• MRCGP or equivalent

Registration & licences

• Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise
• Included on the NHS England Performers List

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Confidence managing a varied workload
