Legal Counsel

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Banking & Finance lawyer to join a leading financial services organisation, supporting complex leveraged finance transactions across EMEA.

You’ll work closely with front-office stakeholders, advising on high-value lending transactions, negotiating finance documentation, managing legal risk, and supporting strategic business initiatives. This is a highly visible role offering significant exposure to senior stakeholders and complex cross-border matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on leveraged finance and corporate lending transactions
• Drafting and negotiating LMA-based loan documentation
• Supporting syndicated and bilateral financing deals
• Providing legal and regulatory guidance to business stakeholders
• Managing legal risk and governance matters
• Monitoring regulatory developments impacting lending activities
• Supporting strategic projects and business growth initiatives

About You

• Qualified lawyer with strong Banking & Finance experience ideally 6-9 years PQE
• Experience gained in private practice and/or an in-house financial services environment
• Strong knowledge of leveraged finance and loan documentation
• Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Confident working directly with senior business leaders
