About the School
A forward-thinking school in Banbury is seeking an IT Support Technician to help maintain its digital infrastructure and provide day-to-day technical assistance. The successful candidate will support staff and pupils with IT issues, maintain equipment and help ensure that classroom technology operates reliably.
About the Role
Working as part of the school’s IT team, you will provide first-line technical support and assist with the maintenance of devices and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Responding to helpdesk requests and troubleshooting technical issues.
Setting up and maintaining computers, laptops, printers and classroom equipment.
Assisting with user accounts, password resets and access permissions.
Supporting software installations, updates and routine maintenance.
Maintaining IT asset records and reporting equipment faults.
Escalating more complex network or security issues to senior IT colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous IT support or helpdesk experience.
School-based IT experience is advantageous.
Good knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and common hardware issues.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
A patient, service-focused approach when supporting non-technical users.
An enhanced DBS check will be required in line with the role.
