Business Intelligence Developer

A leading European tech scale-up is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to bridge data engineering and commercial insights, taking full ownership of their transformation and semantic layers.

What you will be doing:

• Build and maintain scalable data models using dbt and BigQuery (star schema/dimensional modelling)
• Own the semantic layer, explores, and dashboards in Looker for self-serve analytics
• Define, govern, and standardise core business and operational metrics
• Set up automated testing, CI/CD checks, and documentation in dbt
• Optimise SQL queries and warehouse performance to manage BigQuery compute costs

What you need:

• Strong track record as an Analytics Engineer, BI Developer, or BI/Data Analyst
• Expert SQL and dimensional data modelling experience
• Production-level experience with dbt and modern cloud data warehouses (BigQuery or Snowflake)
• Hands-on dashboard and semantic development in Looker (LookML preferred)
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across product, commercial, and finance
