Principal Solutions Architect

A household-name UK business is going through a major digital transformation and has set up a new venture to build its next generation of products and services. The venture has its own brand, its own new offices in central London, and the freedom to build its technology from a blank page.

Everything is being built from scratch on AWS, Python-first and agentic from day one. The tech team is led by an experienced interim CTO who has launched and scaled new technology businesses before, and it will grow to 20 to 30 people. This is one of the first two engineering hires and the most senior technical appointment in the team.

What you’ll do

• Define the core stack with the interim CTO and the AWS teams supporting the build
• Write the integration plan that connects the new business to the group’s enterprise systems through an agent-ready, in-house stack
• Set the patterns for agentic systems: MCP servers, agent-to-agent, and LLMs in production
• Decide what to reuse from existing systems and what to rebuild
• Stay hands-on: prototype, test APIs and write code where it moves the build forward
