Company: NIE Networks
Apply for the Business Analyst
Location: Belfast
Job Description:

Business Analyst

Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIE Networks) owns and operates the electricity transmission and distribution networks across Northern Ireland, delivering power safely and reliably to over 966,000 homes, businesses, and farms. While NIE Networks is part of ESB Group, it operates independently with its own Board and management teams, under the regulation of the Utility Regulator for Northern Ireland.

Our responsibilities include maintaining and extending the electricity infrastructure, connecting customers to the network, and ensuring that our equipment is safe, reliable, and fit for purpose. We also provide electricity meters and metering data to suppliers and market operators. NIE Networks does not supply electricity directly; customers receive their bills from one of five licensed electricity suppliers currently operating in Northern Ireland.

We have embarked on a journey to adopt digital technologies more effectively to meet the needs of our people, our customers and the energy system. This will involve incremental change, new ways of working and the adoption of new skills for everyone.

At present we are seeking a talented individual to join the team as Business Analyst. This role provides an opportunity for someone to make a real difference to the way NIE Networks digitally transforms for the future. The successful candidate will report directly to the Business Analyst Manager and will be based at our newly refurbished office in Danesfort (situated on Stranmillis Road), Belfast. An Agile Home working policy is also in place.

Closing Date: CV and cover letter must be received no later than 11pm on Wednesday 11th November 2026.
