At DigX, we work with organisations to solve complex business and technology challenges, turning ambiguity into clear, practical solutions that can actually be delivered.
We’re looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team and support a major financial-services engagement. The initial focus will be understanding the client’s current landscape, identifying dependencies and constraints, and defining the architecture and roadmap needed to move forward.
Importantly, this isn’t just a discovery or strategy role. We’re looking for someone who can stay close to the work through initial assessment, solution shaping and into ongoing delivery, helping ensure architectural decisions translate into practical outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
Initially, you’ll work with the client and DigX team to build a clear understanding of the existing environment and establish the direction for change. This will include:
- Assessing current business capabilities, processes, technology, data and integrations
- Understanding key dependencies, constraints, controls and third-party platform boundaries
- Identifying gaps, risks and areas requiring further investigation
- Developing and evaluating potential architecture options
- Defining target-state architecture and the transition required to get there
- Turning complex or incomplete information into clear recommendations and priorities
- Presenting architectural options, trade-offs and recommendations to senior stakeholders
As the engagement moves forward, you’ll remain involved in delivery, working alongside project, engineering, data, business analysis and other specialist teams to:
- Provide architectural direction throughout delivery
- Ensure solutions remain aligned to the agreed architecture and wider business objectives
- Resolve architectural questions and challenges as they emerge
- Maintain visibility of dependencies across systems, teams, data and third parties
- Support delivery teams in making pragmatic decisions where constraints or priorities change
- Maintain appropriate architecture documentation and decision records
- Provide technical and architectural assurance throughout the lifecycle
What we’re looking for
You’ll be an experienced Enterprise Architect who is comfortable operating across both business and technology, rather than focusing on a single technical domain.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Strong Enterprise Architecture experience within complex transformation or technology programmes
- Experience taking work from early discovery and definition through into delivery
- The ability to understand and connect business processes, technology, data, integrations and operating models
- Strong knowledge of data ownership, lineage, APIs, workflows and enterprise integration
- Experience developing current-state, target-state and transition architectures
- The ability to develop and assess different architectural options and clearly explain the associated trade-offs
- Confidence working with incomplete, inconsistent or evolving information
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior and executive stakeholders
- The ability to challenge assumptions and provide clear architectural directionA pragmatic approach to architecture, balancing strategic direction with real-world delivery constraints
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience within financial services would be highly advantageous, particularly within areas such as:
- Life and pensions
- Annuities
- Policy administration
- Third-party administration (TPA)
- Digital origination
- Complex legacy transformation
Why DigX?
At DigX, we’re focused on delivering meaningful change, not architecture for architecture’s sake.
You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with clients and delivery teams, shape the direction of complex engagements and remain involved as ideas move from discovery and architecture into real-world delivery.
We’re looking for people who are comfortable taking ownership, asking the difficult questions and creating enough clarity for teams to move forward.
