Transmission Design Engineer
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Transmission Design Engineer to join NIE Networks to produce designs and cost estimates for transmission substation projects.
Based in our Dargan office, the successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of NIE Networks’ transmission infrastructure projects. Initially assigned to the Transmission Plant & Protection Design team, the postholder may also support Distribution Plant & Protection activities in line with business requirements and workload demands.
The role involves the development of detailed engineering designs for substation and associated network infrastructure projects, together with supporting project planning, scoping, cost estimation and technical assurance activities. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and specialist suppliers to ensure designs are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant engineering and regulatory standards.
