QA TEST INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER – MOD DV CLEAREDNEW OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLEI’m currently working with a specialist organisation within the Defence and National Security sector who are looking for an experienced QA Test Infrastructure Engineer to join a highly secure technical environment in Somerset.Location: SomersetWorking Pattern: Fully on site, 5 days per weekClearance: Active UK MOD DVSector: Defence and National SecurityTHE ROLEAs a QA Test Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll work across complex infrastructure and testing challenges, helping to deliver secure and reliable technology with genuine operational impact.You’ll be responsible for developing test strategies, provisioning and validating physical, virtual and cloud-based environments, and delivering functional, integration, regression, resilience and non-functional testing.You’ll work closely with engineers, architects and DevSecOps teams to identify technical and security risks and integrate automated infrastructure validation into CI/CD pipelines.KEY REQUIREMENTSActive UK MOD DV ClearanceStrong experience in QA, test infrastructure or infrastructure testingStrong understanding of networking, Linux/Unix and infrastructure troubleshootingExperience with Terraform, Ansible and KubernetesExperience testing Infrastructure as Code and containerised environmentsFamiliarity with AWS, Azure or GCPExperience with virtualisation technologiesExperience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub ActionsUnderstanding of Secure-by-Design, IAM, least privilege and network segmentationExperience with functional, integration, regression, resilience and non-functional testingExperience working within Defence, National Security or similarly regulated environmentsStrong analytical, problem-solving and communication skillsThis is an opportunity to work on mission-critical technology supporting UK Defence and National Security, within an experienced technical team focused on infrastructure, cloud, automation and security.
