A well-established and rapidly growing main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.The company delivers a range of refurbishment, fit-out, industrial, commercial and education projects across the South East, with a growing order book and strong pipeline of work.This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to join a progressive contractor and take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to completion.The RoleAs Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects, working closely with the Contracts and Project Management teams.Key responsibilities will include:Commercial management of projects from award through to final accountPreparing and submitting valuations and applications for paymentManaging project costs, budgets and cash flowPreparing monthly CVRs and financial forecastsProcurement and management of subcontract packagesPreparing and negotiating subcontract ordersManaging variations, valuations and final accountsIdentifying commercial risks and opportunitiesReviewing and agreeing subcontractor accountsProviding commercial support and advice to the project teamMaintaining accurate commercial records and forecastsWorking closely with clients, consultants and the supply chainAssisting with contractual matters, claims and commercial negotiationsThe PersonThe ideal person will have:Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractorExperience within refurbishment, fit-out, commercial, industrial or education projectsStrong commercial and contractual knowledgeExperience managing subcontract packagesGood knowledge of valuations, variations, CVRs and final accountsStrong negotiation and communication skillsExcellent commercial awareness and attention to detailThe ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesSalary:
