We’re recruiting for an established international engineering and manufacturing business looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to support product quality, inspection and continuous improvement within its Droitwich operation.
This is a hands-on role for someone with proven manufacturing quality experience who is confident reading engineering drawings, carrying out dimensional inspection and working directly with production teams to resolve quality issues.
What you’ll be doing
Inspect incoming materials, in-process components and finished productsRead and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&TCarry out dimensional inspection using Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs and FARO equipmentRecord inspection results and raise non-conformance reportsInvestigate quality issues and support root cause analysisWork with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actionsMaintain accurate quality records and inspection documentationSupport ISO 9001 compliance and internal and external auditsMonitor calibration and inspection processesIdentify opportunities to improve product quality and manufacturing processesWhat we’re looking forThe Quality Inspector will need proven quality assurance or inspection experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
You should also have:Strong experience reading dimensional engineering drawings and GD&THands-on experience using precision measurement and inspection equipmentExperience inspecting incoming, in-process and finished productsGood understanding of ISO 9001Experience with non-conformance management and corrective actionsExperience investigating quality issues and identifying root causesISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualificationStrong documentation, reporting and attention to detailExperience with
CMM or FARO systems, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, HVAC or controls
would be advantageous.
