Actio Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company in Rotherham for an experienced CNC Miller to join their skilled team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled, apprentice-trained machinist looking for a stable, long-term role within a busy jobbing shop environment, manufacturing high-quality components from one-offs through to small batch production.

The Role

• Setting and operating cnc milling machines
• Programming and editing using Heidenhain
• Manufacturing a wide variety of precision-engineered components
• Working from engineering drawings to produce parts to tight tolerances
• Producing predominantly one-off and small batch work
• Carrying out self-inspection to ensure quality standards are met
• Working independently with minimal supervision
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified engineer
• Previous experience operating and setting CNC milling machines
• Experience with Heidenhain controls
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
• Comfortable producing one-off and small batch components
• Able to work accurately to tight tolerances
• Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision

Hours

Monday to Friday

• 7:30am – 4:00pm

Overtime available.

Salary & Benefits

• £17.75 per hour
