LAS BATHROOM ADAPTATION FITTERS REQUIRED – MIDLANDS

OPS Midlands Ltd are looking for experienced Bathroom Fitters / Multi-Skilled Operatives to carry out ongoing LAS bathroom adaptations across the Midlands.

The works will involve a mixture of bathroom refurbishment and accessibility adaptations. Each property will vary, so experience working in occupied social housing and adapting bathrooms for disabled residents is highly desirable.

Typical Works Include:

• Full bathroom strip-out and refurbishment
• Some bathrooms will be empty shells, requiring a complete bathroom installation from the ground up
• Removal of existing baths and installation of low-level shower trays or walk-in showers
• Installation of accessible shower areas
• Installation of new WC and wash hand basin
• Shower installation and associated plumbing
• Shower seats and grab rails
• Aqua boarding / waterproof boarding to shower areas
• Boxing-in of pipework
• Plastering and making good
• Floor preparation and installation of cap-and-cove flooring
• Full silicone/sealing works
• Adjusting or altering doorways where required to improve wheelchair/accessibility access
• General making good and finishing works
• Working alongside our appointed electrical contractor
• Final snagging and handover

Requirements

• Proven experience in bathroom fitting/refurbishment
• Experience with disabled bathroom adaptations / accessible bathrooms desired
• Strong plumbing and general building skills
• Ability to work to a 5-working-day programme
• Good standard of workmanship
• Reliable and able to work independently
• Own tools and transport
• Appropriate insurance and qualifications
• Experience working in social housing is preferred

Ongoing work available for the right subcontractor/team.

Works are across the north and south birmingham, with regular projects available for reliable, experienced bathroom adaptation teams.
