Apply for the Site Agent
Location: Sheffield
Job Description:

Ambitious Site Agent wanted to drive real impact in Property & Construction from Sheffield.

Sheffield’s construction sector is busy right now, with residential and commercial schemes competing for good site management talent. This particular business is a fast-growing outfit in Property & Construction, structured more like a startup than a traditional contractor: flat hierarchy, quick decisions, no layers of sign-off slowing things down. They need a Site Agent who can run a site day-to-day without waiting to be told what to do next.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the day-to-day running of live construction sites across the Sheffield area, keeping programme, cost and quality on track
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site staff, resolving problems before they become delays
  • Monitor health and safety compliance and lead site inductions, toolbox talks and inspections
  • Liaise directly with clients, architects and the project team on progress, variations and technical queries
  • Keep site records, RAMS and progress reports accurate and up to date
  • Identify and manage risk on site, escalating early where it affects programme or budget

Here are the skills you’ll need:

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent or in a similar site management role within Property & Construction
  • Solid working knowledge of construction methods, health and safety legislation and CDM regulations
  • SMSTS and CSCS card as a minimum requirement
  • Confident communicator who can hold their own with clients and keep a site team pulling in the same direction
  • Comfortable making decisions on the ground and adapting plans when conditions change
  • Strong organisational skills, particularly around programme management and reporting

Key perks and benefits:

  • Salary of £43,500 to £55,500, depending on experience
  • Equity and stock options, so you have a real stake in the business you’re helping build
  • Flexible working hours around core site requirements
  • Learning and development budget to support further qualifications and career growth
  • Office-based role in Sheffield, working within a genuinely flat structure where your ideas get heard

Why pursue a career in Property & Construction?

Property & Construction rewards people who can think on their feet and take ownership, and Sheffield’s mix of regeneration projects and new-build activity means there’s no shortage of interesting sites to run. A Site Agent role like this one gives you a genuine route into senior project management, with the added upside of joining a business early enough that your impact actually shows.
