Working across mechanical, electrical, energy and renewable services, the business delivers projects across the UK and Ireland, ranging from major developments such as schools, offices and hospitals through to ongoing maintenance and compliance contracts.

This role would suit someone with strong public sector bid writing and management experience who enjoys working collaboratively with technical experts, developing persuasive content and ensuring every submission is tailored to the client’s requirements. • Prepare content and supporting materials for bid presentations
  • Maintain and continually improve the bid library, including case studies, project examples, team CVs and supporting documentation
  • Work collaboratively with marketing colleagues to ensure bid content remains current, relevant and aligned with the wider business
  • Support other members of the bid team, helping them develop their writing skills and confidence in producing high-quality tender responses
  • Take ownership of bid quality, compliance and deadlines, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and delivered on time

About you

They are looking for someone with proven experience in public sector bid management and bid writing, who is confident producing compelling written content and managing multiple submissions within demanding deadlines. You’ll be highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working with stakeholders across different areas of the business to turn technical information into clear, persuasive responses.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience managing bids from start to finish
  • Strong experience writing public sector tender responses
  • Excellent written communication and content development skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of bid compliance requirements
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, subject matter experts and clients
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of your work
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, or equivalent applications

Experience within construction, facilities management or the mechanical and electrical building services sector would be advantageous. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys writing, developing and improving bids, takes pride in producing high-quality submissions and wants to play an active role in helping a growing business win work.
