Overview
In this role you lead strategic projects within the Council’s transformation portfolio, guiding complex change initiatives across services and partners. You will apply governance, manage risks and budgets, and use data-enabled tools to deliver sustainable service improvements. You will work closely with senior leaders and elected members to shape how the Council operates and drives value for residents. - Lead delivery of strategic projects within the Enabling Barnsley transformation portfolio
- Plan, coordinate and deliver complex, outcome-focused projects
- Apply project governance, manage risks, issues, dependencies, budgets and benefits
- Use data and digital tools to support successful delivery
- Collaborate with services, senior leaders and partners to improve services and drive change
- Deliver sustainable service improvement and change outcomes
Key requirements
- Proven project or change professional with substantial experience managing structured projects
- Ability to deliver complex change and transformation initiatives
- Strong organisational, analytical, communication and influencing skills
