Senior Project Manager

Overview

In this Senior Project Manager role, you will lead complex technology implementations for nonprofit clients, guiding them from initiation to value realization. You’ll oversee multiple engagements, establish strong governance, and manage scope, schedule, and budgets while building trusted executive relationships. You will shape delivery and adoption approaches, ensuring customer outcomes align with Blackbaud’s mission. You’ll work cross‑functionally to deliver consistent customer experiences and opportunities for organizational transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex technology implementations and multiple engagements
• Develop and maintain project plans with scope, milestones, and governance
• Manage scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and change control
• Coordinate kick-offs, governance forums, and executive reporting
• Support adoption programs and value realization for customers
• Collaborate with Sales, Consulting, Customer Success, Product and Support
• Provide guidance to delivery teams and ensure proper project documentation
• Apply and improve Blackbaud delivery methodologies

Key requirements

• Demonstrable experience managing technology implementations or complex Professional Services engagements
• Strong understanding of project management methods, governance and software implementation lifecycle
• Experience managing scope, schedules, budgets, forecasts, resources, risks and change control
• Strong commercial awareness within contracted customer engagements
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of influencing senior stakeholders
• Strong customer focus and credibility with customers
• Sound judgment and decision-making in complex or ambiguous situations
• Experience using project management tools and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to use approved AI tools to improve productivity with human oversight and data protection
