Motor Associate

Motor Associate – Manchester – Hybrid – Up to £50,000

A leading law firm is seeking an Associate to join its specialist Motor team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a small, dedicated team acting for some of the UK’s largest insurer clients, handling a varied caseload of Motor claims, including complex personal injury matters.

As a Motor Associate, you will manage your own caseload while supporting the wider team on Multi-Track claims. While experience in Multi-Track matters is preferred, candidates with a strong background in Fast Track Motor claims will also be considered, with full training and ongoing supervision provided to support your development.

The Role

• Managing a caseload of Motor claims on behalf of leading insurer clients, including Multi-Track matters
• Assisting with complex Motor personal injury claims and supporting the wider team on Multi-Track cases
• Drafting pleadings and other legal documentation
• Preparing instructions to counsel and experts, attending conferences and advising on case strategy
• Reporting to and liaising with clients, maintaining strong professional relationships
• Managing competing priorities effectively while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
• Supporting the wider team with additional tasks as required

The Candidate

• Experience handling Motor claims, ideally involving Multi-Track litigation, or a strong background in Fast Track Motor work
• Candidates from both claimant and defendant law firms are welcome to apply
• Strong understanding of Motor claims, litigation procedures and case management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident in building relationships with clients, colleagues, counsel and experts
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
