Overview

In this role you will support complex project finance transactions for sponsors, lenders and public sector clients. You will operate within Dentons’ cross-border Projects team to navigate commercial, regulatory, and financing issues on energy and infrastructure projects. You will help assess risk allocation and bankability while drafting and negotiating project finance documents. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and senior colleagues to deliver client-focused solutions. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile, cross-border financings with potential for client secondments and progression.

Responsibilities

• Advise sponsors, lenders, investors, developers and public sector clients on project finance transactions across energy and infrastructure.
• Lead aspects of transactions and supervise junior lawyers.
• Draft and negotiate project finance documentation and related agreements.
• Assess risk allocation, bankability and commercial drivers to reach favorable client outcomes.
• Coordinate with large multi-disciplinary teams and manage project management and financial close workstreams.
• Develop strong client relationships and handle cross-border advisory work.
• Explore opportunities for client secondments to Ireland and Middle East offices.

Key requirements

• Solid academic record
• Experience advising on complex financing structures and documentation
• Experience leading aspects of transactions and supervising junior lawyers
• Experience drafting and negotiating project finance documentation
• Strong understanding of project structures and documentation
• Proficiency in project management and financial close workstreams
• Ability to work effectively in large, multi-disciplinary teams
• 3-6 PQE
