We’re looking for a someone to help us operate and automate HPC platforms in financial services. You’ll be working as part of the team, engaged directly with our clients, to help automate the adoption of new HPC platforms and modernise applications in the process.
What you’ll be doing
80% of your time will be spent
- Building automation around existing manual processes for adopting a high-performance computing platform
- Dealing with the manual processes till you get them automated
- Working in both Windows Server and Linux environments
- Troubleshooting complex high performance computing codebases and infrastructure as we migrate them to a new platform
20% of it will be spent on
- Automating the small HMx Labs estate (~ 30 servers)
Who we’re looking for
Someone who is early career, either
- A graduate with strong internship experience
- A graduate with one year of post graduate employment experience
You don’t need prior supercomputing or HPC experience. You do need to demonstrate a willingness to learn, grow, adapt and impress.
You should be able
- to program proficiently in at least one language already
- be comfortable working on the command line and writing scripts
- be prepared to do hands on operational work as well as writing code
- hate doing that operational work so much you’ll automate it all as fast as you can
