Northern is seeking trainees for a 2-year apprenticeship program to become Train Drivers based in Manchester. During the first year you earn £27,870 during training, rising through the year-by-year ladder to £53,190, £58,378 and £67,104, with a rolling 35‑hour week and shifts that include evenings, nights and weekends.

The programme blends in-house classroom training with on‑the‑job experience at Manchester Piccadilly and Leeds/Manchester centres.
