Conflicts Advisor

A leading international law firm is looking for a Conflicts Advisor to join its General Counsel & Risk team, advising on complex legal and commercial conflicts across a global practice.

Joining a global conflicts function, you will work closely with partners and lawyers across the firm, advising on a broad range of legal and commercial conflicts matters.

The Role

• Managing conflict checks for new clients and matters globally.
• Identifying and helping to resolve legal and commercial conflicts of interest.
• Reviewing new client and matter opportunities and advising partners on potential conflicts.
• Advising on information barriers, confidentiality and conflicts processes.
• Identifying wider risks, including reputational, sanctions, financial crime and commercial considerations.
• Working closely with Financial Crime and international conflicts colleagues.
• Contributing to the development of conflicts processes, technology and wider projects.

About You

• A law degree and/or LPC.
• Previous conflicts, risk or related experience within a law firm.
• An understanding of conflicts of interest and confidential information.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
• The ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of US conflicts rules would be advantageous but is not essential.
