Backend Software Engineer Python LLM – Finance

Overview

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will design and build autonomous AI systems that integrate multi-modal LLMs, and create agentic workflows to enable AI agents to interact with data sources and APIs. You will optimise and deploy LLMs and multi-modal models with a focus on performance and latency, and construct scalable MLOps pipelines and production-ready full‑stack applications. You’ll guide multidisciplinary teams and clients in AI engineering and GenAI adoption, contributing to transformative finance tech solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop autonomous AI systems with multi-modal LLMs
• Create agentic workflows enabling AI agents to interact with data sources and APIs using prompt engineering and RAG
• Optimize and deploy LLMs and multi-modal models for performance and latency
• Build scalable MLOps pipelines and production‑grade full‑stack applications
• Provide consultative guidance to teams and clients on AI engineering and GenAI adoption

Key requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, AI or related STEM disciplines with 2:1 or higher
• strong backend Python with API development experience
• hands-on experience deploying LLMs and multi-modal models at scale
• strong understanding of scalable MLOps, observability and cloud-native AI deployment
