Senior Quantity Surveyor – New build HA schemes

Overview

In this role, you lead commercial management on residential developments for a well-established housebuilder expanding in West Kent. You will work with the surveying and commercial teams to control costs, manage contracts, and deliver robust reporting to senior management. Your work focuses on social housing projects, ensuring value and timely delivery. This role offers scope to shape schemes from 5m to 15m across HA partnerships, with a strong emphasis on quality and community impact.

Responsibilities

• Prepare BOQs, PPQs and JCT 2024 contracts
• Manage monthly applications and issue purchase orders
• Deliver reporting to the Commercial Manager
• Present CVRs to the board with the project team
• Provide contractual support to the site team and ensure obligations are met
• Manage schemes independently within the larger commercial team
• Support HA/social housing schemes through cost control and commercial oversight

Key requirements

• Senior surveyor with experience at a main contractor
• Experience on HA/social housing schemes
• Strong cost control and commercial awareness
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or RICS accreditation
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with a main contractor on residential schemes valued 5–15m
